
A total of 54,465 tourists have arrived in the country thus far in June, data from the Sri Lanka Tourism Development Authority (SLTDA) shows.
According to data released by the SLTDA, a total of 21,839 tourists have arrived from India which accounts to 40.0%. Furthermore, 4,160 persons from the United Kingdom, 3,503 from China, 3,105 from Australia and 1,813 Bangladeshi nationals have also visited Sri Lanka in the month of June.
In June 2025, a total of 138,241 tourists visited Sri Lanka.
Meanwhile, the number of tourists who arrived in Sri Lanka in 2026 has increased to 1,076,487 with the release of the latest figures for June.
Among them, 272,099 individuals are from India, 102,253 from the UK, 76,686 from Russia, the SLTDA noted.
