Lanka Sathosa has reduced prices of nine essential food items.
The Ministry of Trade stated that the prices of ponni samba rice, red raw samba rice, local samba rice, local white nadu rice, white raw rice, white raw samba rice, flour, chickpeas and sugar have been reduced accordingly.
The revised prices have been implemented with immediate effect, the Ministry added.
