A Sri Lankan passenger was arrested this morning (19) by Sri Lanka Customs officers while attempting to smuggle a consignment of “Kush” cannabis estimated to be valued at around Rs. 75 million through the “Green Channel” of the arrival terminal of Bandaranaike International Airport (BIA), Katunayake.

The suspect, a 41-year-old three-wheeler driver from Dematagoda in Colombo, arrived at the Katunayake Airport at 9.35 a.m. today aboard SriLankan Airlines flight UL-403 from Bangkok, Thailand, said Ada Derana reporter.
