Sarvajana Balaya leader visits Qatar Embassy to offer condolences

The leader of the Sarvajana Balaya, Member of Parliament Dilith Jayaweera today (14) visited the Embassy of Qatar in Colombo to express his condolences following the passing of former Emir of Qatar, Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani.

 

During the visit, MP Jayaweera signed the condolence book opened at the embassy, conveying his sympathies on behalf of the people of Sri Lanka and the Sarvajana Balaya.

 

The visit also underscored the longstanding bilateral ties, diplomatic cooperation and close friendship shared between Sri Lanka and Qatar.

 

The Media Secretary of the Sarvajana Balaya and National Convener for Muslim Affairs Hassan Alaldeen also attended the occasion.
