The Lady Ridgeway Hospital for Children (LRH) in Colombo has urged parents and guardians to bring essential medical documents when seeking treatment or attending clinic appointments, as the hospital experiences a significant increase in the number of children requiring care due to the ongoing dengue outbreak.

LRH Director Dr. Pradeep Ratnasekara stated that the cooperation of parents and guardians is crucial in ensuring that children receive timely and efficient medical attention despite the increased congestion at the hospital.

The hospital has requested parents and guardians to bring the following documents when bringing children for treatment or clinic visits:

  • Personal Health Number (PHN) or barcode card
  • Child Health Development Record (CHDR) or weight record book
  • Records of any drug or food allergies
  • Clinic books
  • Discharge cards or diagnosis cards

The Lady Ridgeway Hospital has appealed for the fullest cooperation of the public to help streamline services and ensure efficient patient care.

Further information can be obtained from the Office of the Hospital Director by contacting 011 2693711, extension 307, it said.
