A few showers will occur in the coastal areas of the Western and North-western provinces and in the Galle and Matara districts today (24), the Department of Meteorology stated.
Mainly dry weather will prevail over the other areas of the island.
Fairly strong winds of about 30-40kmph can be expected at times over the Northern, North-central provinces and in the Hambantota and Puttalam districts.
