The majority control of the Matugama Multi-Purpose Co-operative Society has been secured by the opposition alliance led by the Samagi Jana Balawegaya (SJB).
This was announced by the SJB Chief Organiser for the Mathugama Electorate, Shobhath Wijeratne.
Accordingly, 100 members representing 46 regional divisions have been elected as representatives of the Matugama Multi-Purpose Cooperative Society.
