Fire breaks out at plastic goods shop in Matara
A fire has broken out at a plastic goods shop located in front of a fuel station on the Matara–Galle main road destroying the premises completely.
The fire had erupted this afternoon (29), and the entire shop has been destroyed in the blaze.
Police suspect that the fire may have been caused by an electrical fault.
The Matara Fire Brigade, Matara Police, and area residents have managed to bring the fire under control.
Meanwhile, police stated that no casualties have been reported so far.
