Principals in Hatton and N' Eliya empowered to decide on school closures amid adverse weather
All principals of schools in the Hatton and Nuwara Eliya Education Zones in the Central Province have been granted the authority to decide whether to keep their schools open or closed, depending on the prevailing adverse weather conditions.
The decision was announced by the Provincial Director of Education, who said school principals have been empowered to make the final decision based on the weather situation in their respective areas.
