
Three individuals suspected to be associates of organized criminal groups, who were recently arrested in Malaysia, are scheduled to be brought back to Sri Lanka today (10).
The suspects will be brought back to Sri Lanka by a special police team led by Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) Rohan Olugala, onboard flight UL 317, arriving at 4.00 p.m.
One of the suspects is reportedly a close associate of notorious criminal figure “Kanjipani Imran.”
An Interpol Red Notice has also reportedly been issued against him.
The suspects are allegedly wanted in connection with several murder cases and other organized criminal activities.
Further investigations and legal action are expected to be initiated against them following their arrival in Sri Lanka.
