SLPP General Secretary Sagara Kariyawasam arrives at CCIB

Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna (SLPP) General Secretary, Attorney-at-Law Sagara Kariyawasam, arrived at the Central Crime Investigation Bureau (CCIB) this morning (10).

 

He was summoned to the CCIB today to provide a statement in connection with an alleged statement he had made concerning Inspector General of Police (IGP) Priyantha Weerasuriya.

 

Accordingly, Kariyawasam appeared before the CCIB to facilitate the investigation into the matter.

 

The Central Crime Investigation Bureau commenced the investigation on the instructions of the IGP, in connection with the statement reportedly made by Kariyawasam concerning the Police Chief.
