One lane reopened on Hatton–Colombo main road following earthslip
One lane of the Hatton–Colombo Main Road, which was obstructed due to an earthslip in the Kuyilwatte area, has now been reopened to traffic.
The road was completely blocked at approximately 1:00 a.m. today (15) after an earthslip collapsed onto the roadway in the Kuyilwatte area.
However, one lane has since been reopened for vehicular movement.
Police have advised motorists to exercise caution when travelling through the area, as there remains a risk of further earthslips.
Intermittent rainfall is also continuing in the affected area, said Ada Derana reporter.
