A fishing vessel suspected to belong to India has washed ashore at Iranawila in Chilaw this morning (15).
Residents in the area suspect that the vessel may have been carrying individuals, as it came ashore without apparent signs of having struck rocks.
Sri Lanka Navy is currently investigating the vessel and has deployed security personnel at the location.
