Dinesh Chandimal taken to hospital for scan after sustaining injury

Sri Lanka batter Dinesh Chandimal has sustained an injury to his right shoulder and neck while diving to prevent a boundary during the first session of Day 4 of the first Test against India.

Chandimal was assessed by the team physiotherapist and doctor on the field before being taken to hospital for a precautionary scan, according to Sri Lanka Cricket.

Sri Lanka Cricket said further updates on his condition will be provided once the scan results are available.
