Two-year-old dies after falling into canal in Galnewa
A two-year-old child has reportedly died after falling into a canal in the Galnewa–Galewewa Road area.
Police said an operation to locate the child was launched yesterday (23) after the father reported to the Galnewa Police that the child was missing from the home.
During the search, the child was found trapped near a bridge along a canal flowing close to the residence.
The child was immediately taken to Galnewa Hospital, where doctors confirmed that the child had already died.
The deceased was a two-year-old child residing in the Galnewa area, police said.
The body has been placed at the mortuary of the Galnewa Hospital, while the Galnewa Police are conducting further investigations into the incident.
