Final Randoli Perahera of 2026 Kandy Esala Perahera begins

The final Randoli Perahera of the historic 2026 Kandy Esala Perahera Festival began its street procession today (27) at the auspicious time of 6.43 p.m.

 

The procession will proceed along Dalada Veediya, Yatinuwara Veediya, Kande Veediya, D.S. Senanayake Veediya and Raja Veediya before returning to the Sri Dalada Maligawa, covering a distance of 2.15 kilometres.

 

The honor of carrying the Sacred Relic Casket in today's final Randoli Perahera has been bestowed upon the tusker ‘Kataragama Wasana'.
