Three suspects wanted in connection with a murder have been arrested by the Negombo Divisional Crime Investigation Bureau.
The arrests were made in connection with an incident in the Katana Police Division on August 28, where a man was allegedly assaulted and killed.
Following the incident, the Negombo Divisional Crime Investigation Bureau launched an investigation into the murder.
Based on information received by investigators, the main suspect who allegedly carried out the murder and two others accused of aiding and abetting the crime were arrested yesterday (29).
Police said the suspects, aged 23, 47 and 49, are residents of the Kadirana, Eththukala and Kochchikade areas.
Further investigations into the incident are being conducted by the Katana Police.
