Residents have raised concerns over the risk of large rocks and trees collapsing onto the Hatton-Colombo main road in the Rampadeniya area of Ginigathhena.
Heavy rainfall in the area in recent days has caused earth and rocks to fall onto the main road, disrupting traffic.
While the fallen debris was later cleared, residents claim that several large rocks and trees remain dangerously positioned in the reserve above the road.
They warn that these could collapse at any time, posing a serious danger to motorists and pedestrians travelling along the busy route.
Residents have called on the relevant authorities to take immediate action to remove the dangerous rocks and trees and avert a possible major disaster.
