Showers expected in several areas after 2pm today
Atmospheric conditions are becoming favourable for afternoon showers and thundershowers in several parts of Sri Lanka over the next few days, particularly across the Northern, North Central, Eastern and Uva provinces.
According to the latest weather forecast issued at 5.30 a.m. today, showers or thundershowers may occur at a few places in the Eastern and Uva provinces and in the Mullaitivu district after 2.00 p.m.
Several spells of showers are also expected in the Western and Sabaragamuwa provinces, as well as in Galle, Matara, Kandy and Nuwara-Eliya districts.
