The United Nations (UN) Resident Coordinator in Sri Lanka, Marc-André Franche, has held a meeting with Sri Lanka’s Minister of Justice and National Integration, Harshana Nanayakkara, to discuss ongoing rule of law reforms in Sri Lanka.
In a post on X (formerly Twitter), Franche said the discussions focused on several key areas, including amendments to the Prevention of Terrorism Act (PTA), prison reforms, and the work of the Office on Missing Persons (OMP) and the Office for Reparations.
He further said the UN in Sri Lanka remains committed to accompany efforts to “strengthen the rule of law with a focus on victims.”
