Police move to freeze Rs. 15 million property linked to ‘Midigama Chooti’

The Illegal Assets Investigation Division has taken steps to temporarily suspend the use, transfer or sale of a residence allegedly belonging to organised criminal figure Prabath Madusanka, alias “Midigama Chooti.”

 

Accordingly, the use, transfer or sale of the house, located at Pathegama in Weligama, has been suspended.

 

Police stated that the property, including the house and the land on which it is situated, is valued at approximately Rs. 15 million. The division has therefore prohibited any further use of the property.
