The Supreme Court has ordered former State Minister Premalal Jayasekera, who was sentenced to death with two others by the Ratnapura High Court and was later acquitted by the Court of Appeal following an appeal, to appear before court on October 21, 2026.
The Supreme Court has also imposed a foreign travel ban on Jayasekera following an appeal filed by the plaintiff.
