Minister of Energy Anura Karunathilaka has assured that there are no obstacles to maintaining an uninterrupted electricity supply in the country without any breakdowns.
Minister Karunathilaka made these remarks while participating in an inspection tour of the Lakvijaya Power Plant in Norochcholai.
He further said that arrangements are already underway to import coal for the years 2026 and 2027.
The Minister dismissed reports circulating that power cuts could be imposed due to a shortage of coal, describing such claims as false.
