An attempted shooting incident has been reported in the Kosgoda area this morning (06).
The incident was allegedly an attempt to gun down a relative of notorious organised criminal figure ‘Kosgoda Tharaka.’
The assailant had reportedly had attempted to fire a 9mm pistol twice. However, the firearm had failed to discharge on both occasions.
Kosgoda Police are conducting further investigations into the incident.
