Azur Air, British Airways to resume direct flights to Sri Lanka
Russian airline Azur Air has decided to resume direct flights between Russia and Sri Lanka.
The airline has announced that it plans to recommence services from November.
Accordingly, Azur Air is expected to operate flights to Sri Lanka from five airports in Russia.
In addition to Azur Air, Russian carriers Aeroflot and S7 Airlines are also scheduled to launch direct flights between Russia and Sri Lanka.
Meanwhile, British Airways is set to resume direct flights between the United Kingdom and Sri Lanka next month, after an 11-year hiatus.
The airline is reportedly scheduled to commence direct services between London Gatwick Airport in the UK and Colombo from October 23.
