Yoshitha Rajapaksa withdraws appeal against conspiracy charge in money laundering case
An appeal filed by Yoshitha Rajapaksa, son of former President Mahinda Rajapaksa, seeking an order preventing the maintaining of the conspiracy charge against him in a case filed under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act, has been withdrawn before the Supreme Court today (07).
The Supreme Court granted permission for the appeal to be withdrawn, while allowing Yoshitha Rajapaksa to raise the same matter in the event that he needs to file an appeal in the future, Ada Derana reporter said.
