A total of 115,586 people belonging to 35,169 families have been affected, amid the prevailing dry weather conditions.

 

The Disaster Management Centre (DMC) stated that people in 35 Divisional Secretariat Divisions across seven districts have been affected by the situation.

 

In response, the National Disaster Relief Services Centre has taken steps to ensure the continuous distribution of drinking water to those facing water shortages.

 

Accordingly, drinking water is being distributed to 113,406 people belonging to 34,628 families across seven districts.
