An individual has been injured in a shooting incident reported in Walekade, Athurugiriya.
Two individuals who arrived on a motorcycle carried out the shooting before fleeing the scene, according to police.
The victim sustained injuries to his leg in the shooting and was subsequently admitted to hospital for treatment.
Police are conducting further investigations into the incident and the identities of the suspects.
