Appeals Court issues interim order halting demolition of restaurant in Wellawatte
The Court of Appeal has issued an interim order preventing the enforcement of a notice issued by the Director General of Coast Conservation, which directed the demolition and removal of a restaurant located in the Wellawatte beach area.
The order will remain in effect until September 21, said Ada Derana reporter.
The order was issued after considering submissions made by President’s Counsel Faiszer Musthapha, who appeared on behalf of the restaurant, which had filed the relevant petition.
