Youth killed in motorcycle-bus collision in Anuradhapura
A 22-year-old man has been killed in a road accident involving a motorcycle and a bus in Saliyapura, Anuradhapura earlier today (13), police said.
The accident occurred when the motorcycle collided with the bus as the rider was reportedly attempting to overtake the vehicle.
According to police, the motorcyclist was not wearing a helmet at the time of the accident.
The deceased has been identified as a resident of Saliyapura.
The driver of the bus has been arrested on suspicion in connection with the accident.
Further investigations are being conducted by the Traffic Division of the Anuradhapura Police.
