President Anura Kumara Dissanayake has announced that steps will be taken to remove the Value Added Tax (VAT) imposed on school books.
President Dissanayake made the announcement while addressing a public rally in Nochchiyagama.
He said the necessary plans are already being formulated to remove the tax, adding that further details regarding the measure are expected to be announced in the upcoming Budget.
