Attacker flees after failed shooting attempt on ‘Kudu Noni’
An individual who arrived at a house in the Welikanda area, within the Ahungalla Police Division, attempted to shoot a woman this evening (14), but the firearm failed to discharge.
Police said the woman was alone at the house when someone knocked on the door. She opened the door, following which the man allegedly attempted to shoot her.
However, the firearm did not discharge, and the suspect fled the area.
The woman has been identified as “Kudu Noni,” who has been remanded on several occasions in connection with drug trafficking offences.
Ahungalla Police are conducting further investigations into the incident.
