
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Foreign Employment and Tourism says it is closely monitoring the case of Sri Lankan national Anojan Sivarasa, who is currently facing judicial proceedings in Saudi Arabia.
According to the Ministry, the Sri Lankan Embassy in Riyadh is following developments in the case and is coordinating with the Saudi Arabian Embassy in Colombo.
The Ministry said it remains engaged with the relevant Saudi authorities through diplomatic channels and is taking appropriate steps to safeguard Sivarasa’s interests.
It added that all possible assistance is being provided to the Sri Lankan national as the judicial proceedings continue.
