Former Chairman of the Sri Lanka National Cricket Selection Committee Pramodya Wickramasinghe has filed a case before the Colombo Commercial High Court seeking Rs. 75 million in damages, alleging that he was unfairly removed from his position by Sri Lanka Cricket.
The case has been filed over what he claims was the premature and unjustified termination of his two-year term.
Wickramasinghe states that he was appointed on December 17, 2025, for a two-year term, but was subsequently removed from office by the Sri Lanka Cricket Transformation Committee without prior notice, sufficient justification or adherence to due procedure.
