
A total of 16 districts across the country have been affected by the prevailing adverse weather conditions, according to the Disaster Management Centre (DMC).
The latest disaster situation report indicates that 66 Divisional Secretariat Divisions have been affected, impacting a total of 1,138 families and 5,074 individuals.
One death and two injuries have been reported owing to adverse weather conditions.
Heavy rains and gusty winds have also resulted in significant damage to residential properties. Three houses have been completely destroyed, while a further 183 houses have sustained partial damage.
The DMC noted authorities also continue to monitor the situation as adverse weather conditions persist in several parts of the country.
