Level 3 landslide warning issued to several areas in six districts extended

The National Building Research Institute (NBRI) has extended a Level 3 (Red) landslide early warning for several areas across six districts.

 

The warning will remain in effect from 4:00 p.m. today (22) until 4:00 p.m. tomorrow (23).

 

Level 3 – Evacuate

 

Kandy District: Pasbage Korale Divisional Secretariat Division (DSD) and surrounding areas.
Nuwara Eliya District: Ambagamuwa, Norwood, West Kotmale, East Kotmale Divisional Secretariat Division(s) (DSD) and surrounding areas.

 

Level 2 – Be Alert

 

Colombo District: Padukka Divisional Secretariat Division (DSD) and surrounding areas.
Galle District: Thawalama, Nagoda, Neluwa Divisional Secretariat Division(s) (DSD) and surrounding areas.
Kalutara District: Walallawita Divisional Secretariat Division(DSD) and surrounding areas.
Kandy District: Udapalatha, Ganga Ihala Korale Divisional Secretariat Division(s) (DSD) and surrounding areas.
Kegalle District: Deraniyagala, Yatiyanthota, Mawanella, Dehiowita, Aranayaka Divisional Secretariat Division(s) (DSD) and surrounding areas.
Nuwara Eliya District: Talawakelle Divisional Secretariat Division (DSD) and surrounding areas.
Ratnapura District: Ratnapura Divisional Secretariat Division (DSD) and surrounding areas.

Colombo District: Seethawaka Divisional Secretariat Division (DSD) and surrounding areas.
Galle District: Niyagama, Baddegama Divisional Secretariat Division(s) (DSD) and surrounding areas.
Kegalle District: Warakapola, Kegalle, Galigamuwa, Bulathkohupitiya, Ruwanwella Divisional Secretariat Division(s) (DSD) and surrounding areas.
Gampaha District: Mirigama, Attanagalla Divisional Secretariat Division(s) (DSD) and surrounding areas.
Kandy District: Pathadumbara, Yatinuwara, Dolosbage, Udunuwara Divisional Secretariat Division(s) (DSD) and surrounding areas.
