Prisons Dept. launches probe into clash between ‘Harak Kata’ and ‘Kehelbaddara Padme’
The Department of Prisons has launched a special investigation into a clash involving alleged organized crime figures Nadun Chinthaka Wickramaratne, alias “Harak Kata,” and Mandinu Padmasiri, alias “Kehelbaddara Padme.”
The Department said an Assistant Superintendent of Prisons has been appointed to investigate the incident.
The two suspects, who are being held at the Welisara Prison, were involved in a clash last evening (22). Kehelbaddara Padme sustained injuries during the incident and was subsequently admitted for medical treatment.
According to the Department of Prisons, he is currently receiving treatment at the Welisara Prison Hospital.
