England will take on Sri Lanka in the second One-Day International of the three-match series today at Headingley, Leeds, with Kusal Mendis looking to level the series.

England take a 1–0 lead into the match after securing an 89-run victory in the opening ODI in Durham.

England posted 265 before bowling Sri Lanka out for 176, with Will Jacks producing a match-winning all-round performance. Jacks scored an unbeaten 46 before claiming five wickets for 22 runs, while captain Harry Brook made 67.

Sri Lanka will be looking for a stronger response in Leeds after their batting line-up struggled in the first match. Dunith Wellalage top-scored with 45, while Skipper Kusal Mendis made 42.

The second ODI will get underway at 5.00 p.m. Sri Lanka time.

A victory for England would secure the ODI series, while a Sri Lankan win would take the contest to a deciding third match.
