Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) has announced that the Australia Women’s National Team will tour Sri Lanka in December 2026 to play a three-match ODI series against Sri Lanka.

The matches, which will be played in Dambulla, will form part of the ICC Women’s Championship 2025–2029 cycle.

The Australian team is scheduled to arrive in Sri Lanka on December 10, 2026, the SLC stated.

The first ODI will be played on December 15, followed by the second ODI on December 18 and the third ODI on December 20. All three matches will be played at the Rangiri Dambulla International Cricket Stadium, it added.

Australia Women’s National Cricket Team is set to return to Sri Lanka for a bilateral ODI series for the first time in more than a decade.

The upcoming series will also mark the first ODI meeting between Australia Women and Sri Lanka Women in more than seven years. Their scheduled clash during the 2025 ICC Women’s World Cup in Colombo was washed out, making the upcoming fixtures more valuable and exciting.

Their last ODI meeting came during a three-match series in Brisbane in October 2019. Australia won all three matches comfortably, and they made a world-record 18 consecutive ODI wins at that time.
