Flood warnings for Nilwala and Gin Rivers extended
The Irrigation Department has extended the flood warnings issued for the Nilwala and Gin rivers for a further 24 hours.
The flood warnings were initially issued on September 24 due to the prevailing rainy weather, and were subsequently extended by the department.
In the latest warning, the Irrigation Department urged motorists travelling along roads in the affected areas and residents in surrounding areas to remain vigilant and exercise caution.
