A memorial established for former LTTE member Thileepan, in Nallur, Jaffna, has been removed from the site by the police.
The commemoration ceremony of Thileepan was held yesterday (26).
Tamil National People’s Front (TNPF) Secretary Selvarasa Gajendran alleged that more than 15 police officers arrived at the site without prior notice, entered the premises wearing footwear and forcibly removed the statue.
