Sri Lanka captain Sahan Arachchige won the toss and elected to bowl first against India in the second semi-final of the men’s cricket competition at the 2026 Asian Games in Nisshin, Japan.

The match is being played at Korogi Sports Park, with Sri Lanka taking on India in a crucial contest for a place in the gold-medal match.

Sri Lanka advanced to the semi-finals after their quarter-final against Nepal was abandoned due to rain. India also reached the last four after their quarter-final was washed out.

Sri Lanka will look to make the most of bowling first as they seek to secure a place in the Asian Games men’s cricket final.

Sri Lanka women’s team won the silver medal after losing to India in the final of the 2026 Asian Games in Japan.
