Transfers of several high-ranking police officers including SDIG cancelled

The National Police Commission has cancelled the transfers of Senior Deputy Inspector General (SDIG) Ranmal Kodituwakku, Deputy Inspector General (DIG) of the Police Narcotics Bureau (PNB) Ashoka Dharmasena, and several other police officers, with immediate effect.

 

The Inspector General of Police (IGP) had made the relevant request to the National Police Commission.

 

The transfer orders of several officers, including the Director of the Police Narcotics Bureau (PNB), two Superintendents of Police, and women Police Inspectors, have reportedly been rejected.

 

The decision was taken at the meeting of the National Police Commission held today (01).
