Signing of SJB no-confidence motion against Speaker to commence today

The Samagi Jana Balawegaya (SJB) has decided to submit a no-confidence motion against Speaker of House Dr. Jagath Wickramaratne, this Friday (09).

 

The decision was taken at a meeting of the SJB parliamentary group.

 

The no-confidence motion has been drafted based on 49 allegations against the Speaker, with the signing process scheduled to begin today (06).

 

Meanwhile, Parliamentarian Dayasiri Jayasekara said the Speaker should resign from his position before the no-confidence motion is brought against him.
