
The Cabinet of Ministers has approved the provision of a fertilizer financial subsidy for paddy and other field crops cultivated on paddy lands during the 2026/27 Maha season.
Accordingly, the subsidy will be provided at a rate of Rs. 30,000 per hectare, subject to a maximum limit of two hectares per farmer.
The estimated allocation for the fertilizer financial subsidy for the 2026/27 Maha season is Rs. 16 billion.
In addition to paddy cultivation, the financial assistance will also be extended to other field crops identified at seasonal meetings and recommended by the Director General of Agriculture.
