SLPP and SLFP hold special meeting to discuss political situation
A special meeting between representatives of the Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna (SLPP) and the Sri Lanka Freedom Party (SLFP) was held this morning (09) at the SLFP headquarters.
The meeting was held under the leadership of SLPP General Secretary Sagara Kariyawasam and SLFP President Nimal Siripala de Silva. According to political sources, discussions focused on the current political situation in the country and the parties’ future course of action.
Mahinda Amaraweera, Lasantha Alagiyawanna and Duminda Dissanayake participated in the meeting representing the SLFP.
Representing the SLPP, Dr. Ramesh Pathirana, Lakshman Yapa Abeywardena and Sanjeeva Edirimanna attended the discussion.
