
Former First Lady Shiranthi Rajapaksa, who was taken to the Colombo National Eye Hospital this morning (09) while in remand custody, has since been returned to prison custody.
Prison officials transported her to the hospital for medical attention due to an eye condition. She had been referred to a prison medical specialist yesterday (08), who recommended that she undergo an examination by a specialist at the National Eye Hospital.
Accordingly, she was taken to the hospital this morning to receive specialist medical care before being returned to the prison.
