
President Anura Kumara Dissanayake has stated that the Commission to Investigate Allegations of Bribery or Corruption (CIABOC), which is currently limited to Colombo, is set to be established in all provinces with funds allocated through the upcoming Budget.
The President made these remarks while attending a public rally held in Nikaweratiya today (11).
He also stated that approval had been granted to recruit more than 900 officers for the Commission.
Meanwhile, President Dissanayake stressed that corruption and fraud had been completely eradicated in Sri Lanka, adding that strict punishments would be imposed for such illegal activities within the public service.
