Pakistan secured a commanding 82-run victory over Sri Lanka in the second T20I, posting an imposing 215/3 from their 20 overs before restricting Sri Lanka to 133/7.

Maaz Sadaqat starred with a sensational 96 from just 51 deliveries, smashing seven sixes and six fours, while Sahibzada Farhan contributed an explosive 73 from 44 balls. Pakistan's powerful batting display proved too much for Sri Lanka, whose run chase never gained sufficient momentum despite contributions from Kamindu Mendis and Maheesh Theekshana.

Match Analysis

Maaz Sadaqat's Explosive 96 and Sahibzada Farhan's 73 Power Pakistan to 82-Run Victory Over Sri Lanka

Pakistan produced a dominant all-round performance to defeat Sri Lanka by 82 runs in the second T20 International, with Maaz Sadaqat and Sahibzada Farhan leading an outstanding batting display.

Batting first, Pakistan amassed an impressive 215/3 from their allotted 20 overs, setting Sri Lanka a challenging target of 216.

Pakistan began positively, reaching 46 without loss during the six-over powerplay.

Sahibzada Farhan provided the early momentum, striking boundaries regularly and reaching his half-century from just 31 deliveries, including three fours and three sixes.

He completed his half-century from 30 deliveries, while his aggressive batting helped Pakistan pass 150 in the 16th over.

A rapid 50-run partnership involving Sadaqat and Hasan Nawaz, coming from just 19 deliveries, further increased the pressure on Sri Lanka's bowling attack.

Pakistan reached 200 in the 19th over before completing their innings on 215/3.

Chasing 216 for victory, Sri Lanka struggled to establish momentum against Pakistan's bowling attack.

The visitors managed 35/2 during the powerplay and reached 50 in the eighth over.

Kamindu Mendis contributed 23 from 19 balls, including two fours and a six, but Sri Lanka were unable to build the substantial partnerships required to challenge Pakistan's total.
