Seized narcotics destroyed…

A large consignment of 99.478 kilograms of heroin related to cases concluded before the Marawila Magistrate’s Court, along with other narcotics held at the Government Analyst’s Department that have been ordered for destruction by various courts, were transported this morning (25) from the Marawila Magistrate's Court to the incinerator facility at Lactowatta area in Wanathawilluwa, Puttalam for destruction. The process was carried out in the presence of Additional District Judge of the Marawila Magistrate's Court Gihan Basnayake, officers of the Police Narcotics Bureau (PNB) and the Police Special Task Force (STF).
